?… please present yourself ( Name, education, Civil status and

Farrokh: First of all, thank you for this opportunity. My name is Farrokh Nematpoor, I am from Baneh, a little town in Kurdish province in Iran. The last 19 years I have lived in Norway with my wife and two kids. As a writer I work a lot with literature, writing mainly novels and short stories. However, I do have a lot of books published as well. A few years ago, I won the international Dr. Ebrahim Yonesi Book Prize for my novel. I graduated with a bachelor’s in philosophy at the University of Oslo (Blindern) some years ago and have written and published articles on philosophical topics as well.

?what is your artistic specialize

Farrokh: As previously mentioned, I mainly work on novels and short stories. Most of my work is written in Kurdish, but some of it is written in Persian.

? When and how did you become interested in this field of art

Farrokh: As a child I enjoyed reading books. My family encouraged me to do so. At the age of fourteen years old, I began writing but not anything that could be published. It was mainly my own private notes. But those notes helped me learn how to write and guide me towards the world of an author.

? Who was your motivator

Farrokh: At a young age, my father was my biggest motivator. We had a small library at home. I felt like it was a magic, little world of our own where I could be inspired and encouraged to write and read.

? What was your parents reaction

Farrokh: They were really supportive and happy. Without my family, none of this would have been possible.

?  when started you such as a professional writer

Farrokh: I was around 23 years old. It was towards the end of the Iran-Iraq war and together with some friends we established our own literature club.

? Are you thankful and happy because of your activities as a writer

Farrokh: Obviously! To work and live as a writer is very exciting. You can self-realize yourself as a human being and share your feelings and thoughts with the readers.

How you see the view

Farrokh: I am an optimist. The world used to be a worse place. I think an author should always stay positive, because we must participate in creating a better world. It is a great feeling to be a writer.

Can you become one part of the artistic movement for motivation in youth or new generation in your country and so than

Farrokh: I do not know. It is not up to me. In the end, it is my publications that will decide how much my writing will influence anyone. However, the more dedicated a writer is in his or her writing, the greater their legacy will be in the end.

?  How can you help our world become a better place to live

Farrokh:I think a writer should work as a mirror; reflecting the human experience in a magical way. This form of activity can help the world become a better place. Society needs art because art can help us to understand ourselves better.

? Have you more word to say or a suggest for our readers

Farrokh: We live in a world where literature does not have the same influence as it once had. However, we still depend on literature; please do not forget literature. It is my fervently plea!

 Thank you Azad Karimi ,Norway
